        The Dark Artifacts

     The Dark is one of the major opponents of the Cosmic Forge and as such has , through its loyal servants , created a number of powerful supernatural creatures to wreak havoc in the Megaverse . Cosmo-Knights (servants of the Forge) have encountered many of these creatures , only to find more powerful ones waiting .To help in the never-ending battle against the evil one the Forge created the six Cosmic Forge Artifatcs , objects of incredible power . Over time the six items became scattered but have (through the eons) been rediscovered , individually . Recently several of the Artifacts were found by a group of brave adventurers only to have a foolish and greedy adventurer actually sell two of the Artifacts . Unbeknownst to any in the party , the being that the Artifacts were sold to is a loyal servant of the Dark . Now that some of the Cosmic Forge’s Artifacts are in its possession they can’t be used by or for good , but nor can they be used for evil either . Now , knowing that the Forge’s forces have been greatly weakened , the Dark "inspired" a group of his most loyal servants on Rifts Earth to create three items of incredible power to be used to bring down the Forge once and for all . They created a suit of very demonic looking armor , an evil looking sword and a shield .
     However , a curse had been placed on all three Dark Artifacts , a Blood Rage . Once a month , the owner of the item(s) must make a save versus possession or fly into a terrible and extraordinarily violent rage which lasts for 5d6 minutes .

Cara El Miedo (the Face of Fear)
  Appearance : a 3 ft. diameter shield with a 3 inch wide solid black edge with a mirror like center
     Powers :

• Those looking into the mirrored shield must make a save versus magic or be affected by the Curse of the World Bizarre , equal to level 10 .

• Gives owner a +2 to all saves .

• Aura of Death (as per spell in Federation of Magic) , equal to character’s current level .

• Redirection : any energy based attack (including lasers) can be avbsorbed (one energy strike can be absorbed at a time) by rolling a parry (with normal penalties . If successful , the weilder can fire the energy attack back at the opponent .

Coraza El Kraken (Armor of the Kraken)
Appearance : solid black ; almost looks like melted metal with no apparent joints or plates , but
                     when worn is just as flexible as the wearer’s own skin . This is a very demonic looking
                     suit which completely covers the body (not environmental) .
     Powers : • Invulnerability (as per magic tatoo) : equal to level 10 (750 MDC)

• Suit gives the wearer a Horror Factor : 17

• PS & PE are turned supernatural plus add 10 to each .

• While in suit , the wearer is impervious to : poisons , toxins , gases , Horror Factor and fire & heat (including MDC & magic)

• Has all the special powes of the Necromancer (equal to character’s current level) ; plus the suit has a PPE resevior of 200 PPE (which is used to fuel all magic of the suit) , which regenerates at a rate of 5 PPE per hour .

• Create Force Feilds (as per Heroes Unlimited)

• Matter & Energy Control (as per Nightlord power in Nightbane main rulebook)

Diente El Diablo (the Tooth of the Devil)
appearance : blade is non-reflective solid black ; hilt has a skull and crossbones ; pommel looks like
                    a dragon’s claw holding a swirling , blood red orb .
     powers : • Hellfire blast : does half damage to those impervious to fire             damage : 2d6 MD per round
            duration : burns for 1d4 rounds
            range : 1000 ft.
            +3 strike ; plus victim must make a save versus pain each round or pass out . • Vampirirc Nova             must be activated
            absorbs half of the PPE from each person in range (if they fail to save versus magic) and is
            stored . At the end of the duration , the stolen stored PPE is exlosively released .
            Damage : number of stolen PPE x 2 MD to a 20 ft. radius
            range : 20 ft. radius
            NOTE : None of the sword’s other powers (even the mystic attack from each physical
                         strike) can be used during Vampiric Nova . • Soul Drain             must be activated
           Weilder is instilled with the knowledge of this "power" .
           Must be done on a ley line nexus point
           The potential victim must be "pure" (a virgin) , and must be slain with the sword by slitting
           their throat A cup (8 oz.) of their blood must then be collected and drunk by the weilder .
           The results :
                The number of Hit Points the victim had is added to the weilder’s . The number of PPE
                the victim normally had is also added (not the doubled amount from moment of death) is
               also added to weilder’s PPE . • Mystic Powers : equal to level 10 ; as per psionic or magic spell of same name             Intuitive Combat , See the Invisible , See Aura , Sixth Sense , Mind Block Auto &
            Desiccate the Supernatural • Damage : 1d6x10 MD per strike plus victim must save versus magic at a -5 or become ill (-1 attack , -2 to all combat bonuses , -2 to all saves , effects are cumulative) .
